Palau $5 World Of Wonders Coin, 2012, Sliver, UNC, Teotihuacan
From the time when the Aztecs found the city ruins of Teotihuacan in Mexico, which had been abandoned hundreds of years before, they believed this was the spot where the world was created and where the gods were born. About 200’000 people probably lived in Teotihuacan in its heyday. During this time, approx. 200 until 450 AD, it was therefore one of the biggest cities in the world and by far the biggest residential areas on the American continent.
