This uncirculated 500 Mauritanian ouguiya note is a specimen banknote issued by the Central Bank of Mauritania. It is a green note that is dated 28 November 1979, bears the signature of Sid’Ahmed Ould Bneijara, and measures 162 mm x 87 mm. Its obverse side features an ornate design and a diagonal red SPECIMEN overprint. Its reverse side shows field workers and a mine entrance. Security features include a solid black security thread, an all-zero serial number, and a watermark of a bearded man.
