This used 100 Japanese yen note is a standard circulation banknote issued by the Bank of Japan. It is a black, purple, red, blue, and green note that measures 162 mm x 93 mm. Its obverse side features the Yumedono (Hall of Dreams) at the Horyu Temple in Nara and a portrait of Prince Shotoku. Its reverse side shows the Horyu Temple. Though the note does not have a security thread, it has a watermark of Paulownia leaves.
